Choosing your support

PCOS apps compared: free tracking, plans and care

Choose a PCOS app that fits your routine. Compare Alure, PCOS Polly, Cysterhood, AskPCOS and Allara by free access, meal plans, cycle records and support.

The best PCOS app for you depends on the help you want. For free meal, symptom and cycle records in one iPhone app, consider Alure. For a paid lifestyle tracker with meal planning, compare PCOS Polly. For dietitian-led group coaching and meal and workout plans, look at Cysterhood. AskPCOS offers free education and symptom tracking, while Allara provides clinician-led care.

Alure publishes this comparison and makes one of the apps below. We checked the linked official descriptions on November 1, 2026. This is a comparison of documented access and features, not a hands-on review or a clinical ranking. The sections explain where another option may fit better.

Alure: free records, with an optional personalized plan

Alure: PMOS Health is an iPhone app for keeping meals, symptoms, periods and daily habits together. Core tracking is free. You can start with your own records before deciding whether you want a plan.

The paid Premium subscription adds the personalized Path, meal and workout plans, short lessons, deeper insights, extended history, a doctor report and Partner Pass. Eligible annual subscribers can try Premium for 14 days; the weekly plan has no trial. The older lifetime insights purchase does not include Path. See Alure’s free and paid access, including dated US prices.

Consider Alure if: you want less guesswork in an everyday routine, with food and cycle notes in one place and the option to add meal and movement planning. For live dietitian coaching, compare Cysterhood. For diagnosis or treatment, choose clinical care.

Alure publishes an internal nutrition-estimate benchmark. It tests estimates from typed meal descriptions, not changes in weight, symptoms or fertility. You can inspect the method, publisher details and privacy policy before choosing.

PCOS Polly: a subscription lifestyle tracker

The PCOS Polly listing describes meal, symptom, period and habit logging, recipes and meal planning. It states that onboarding is free, but app features require a subscription.

Consider Polly if: you want its combination of recipes, lifestyle records and an AI chat companion. If keeping core records without subscribing is your priority, compare Alure’s free tier first. Check Polly’s current purchase screen for the offer available to you.

Cysterhood: plans with dietitian-led group coaching

Cysterhood’s listing describes weekly meal and workout plans, recipes, grocery lists, habit and progress trackers, and live group coaching with registered dietitian Tallene Hacatoryan. Membership purchases are listed in the App Store.

Consider Cysterhood if: you want the structure of a guided program and group coaching. Its description emphasizes plans and coaching; it does not establish a period-record feature. Verify cycle logging before paying if that is essential to you. Its meal approach includes gluten- and dairy-free recipes, so check whether the food style fits your preferences.

AskPCOS: free education and appointment preparation

AskPCOS from Monash University, described as AskPMOS in its current app copy, is listed as free. It offers health information, symptom tracking and a question list for appointments.

Consider AskPCOS if: your first priority is understanding the condition and preparing to talk with a clinician. Its description does not establish a personalized meal planner. You may prefer it alongside a food journal or planning tool rather than expecting one app to do both jobs.

Allara: clinician-led care

Allara provides virtual medical and nutrition care. Access depends on location, eligibility and payment or insurance arrangements. Check the current terms, including costs that can apply to visits, tests or prescriptions.

Consider Allara if: you want clinical assessment and a care team. That is a different purchase from an everyday journal or meal-planning subscription. An app’s ability to organize records does not establish that it can diagnose a condition or provide treatment.

What does free actually include?

A free download, a free tier and a free trial are different offers:

  • Free download: installing the app costs nothing; using it may still require payment.
  • Free tier: specific functions remain available without a subscription. Alure’s core tracking and AskPCOS’s listed educational app fit the documented options above.
  • Free trial: temporary access to a paid subscription. Check its renewal date and cancel through the billing provider if you do not want to continue.

Before subscribing, try the task you care about: record one meal, add a symptom, enter a period date or inspect the proposed meal plan. Check which of those actions is included at your chosen price. Read the privacy label and policy, including account deletion and any sharing settings.

Which app fits PCOS weight goals?

Choose the kind of support you can use consistently. Alure offers an optional personalized meal and movement routine alongside everyday records. Cysterhood adds group coaching to its plans. Allara offers clinical care for eligible patients. Those are different types of support, not evidence that one app produces more weight loss.

Start with a goal that fits your circumstances, then compare the support and cost around it. Our PCOS weight-goal guide links to the international guideline and offers questions for your clinician. The weekly PCOS plan worksheet can help you choose one manageable action before committing to an app.

Make the choice around your week

Pick your one essential task and check it against the official sources above. A useful choice should fit your budget, the amount you want to record, and whether you want self-guided planning, group coaching or clinical care.

If free everyday records with the option to add a personalized plan fits that choice, see Alure’s real app screens and access options. If another kind of support fits better, start with that instead.
