TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective May 27, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Alure mobile application (“App”) provided by Alure Health, Inc. (“Alure,” “we,” “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the App.

Alure is not medical advice. The App is an informational and journaling tool. Nothing in the App is a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or substitute for care from a licensed clinician. Always consult a qualified provider about your health and before starting, changing, or stopping any treatment.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction for online services) to use Alure. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Alure with a parent or guardian’s permission.

2. Account

You sign in to Alure with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, Alure grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. The App is licensed, not sold.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Use the App in any way that violates law or infringes anyone’s rights.
  • Upload content that’s not yours to upload, including images of other people without consent.
  • Interfere with the App’s security or use it to send spam, malware, or automated traffic that we haven’t authorized.
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written permission.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you put into Alure (your profile, meal photos, symptom entries, weights, notes). You grant Alure a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content as necessary to provide the App to you, including sending meal photos to our AI provider for nutrition analysis as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. AI-generated content

Meal analysis and insights are produced by AI models acting on the data you provide. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Don’t rely on AI output to make medical decisions. Estimates of calories, macronutrients, and patterns are approximations, not measurements.

7. Third-party content and links

The Shop section of the App and any pages on this site may reference third-party products, services, or research (including investigational therapies and prescription medications). Linking to a third-party site or referencing a product does not mean we endorse it or are affiliated with the third party. Access to any medication or clinical trial requires evaluation by a licensed clinician at the linked source. Alure has no control over and is not responsible for third-party sites, products, or services.

8. Apple HealthKit

If you connect Apple Health, Alure will read the data types listed in our Privacy Policy and may write body-mass samples when you log a weight inside the App. You can revoke any of these permissions in the Apple Settings app at any time.

9. Subscriptions and purchases

Alure is currently free to download and use. If we introduce paid features, the terms of those purchases will be presented in-app at the time of purchase, with subscriptions billed through Apple as required by App Store rules.

10. Termination

You may stop using Alure at any time and delete your account from inside the App (Profile → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we believe it’s necessary to protect Alure, our users, or third parties. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALURE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUT WILL BE CORRECT.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALURE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD 50) OR THE AMOUNT YOU’VE PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Alure and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Alure agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, for any dispute that isn’t subject to binding arbitration.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
